Thomas Owen of London, a merchant tailor who died in 1603. HERE LIETH THE
BODY OF CICILYE OWEN WIFE
TO THOMAS OWEN OF LONDON MARCHAVN TAYL
LER WHO HAD BY HER 7 SONNES & 3 DAVGHTERS
SHE DIED THE 18 DAY OF AVGUST 1603 WHOSE
SOVLE IS AT REST WITH GOD.
Thomas Owen owned a number of
properties in Orsett, Chadwell and Little Thurrock
including Chadwell Place which is presumably where they
lived. In 1607 he sold all his local properties to Sir
Thomas Temple.
